Personally I hoped into Pokemon on Switch with Let's Go Pickachu and loved it. I found Sword to be a good game just a little lacking in story, but still good. Diamond and Pearl are also great, but Archeus is the best. And yes Snap is great. So here's my list: 1.Archeus 2.

Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee are great first game for kids. It's very easy to learn to, and the game is very simple. No complicated stuff such as abilities and held items, just simple battling to help them learn the basics such as type matchups and collecting gym badges. Sword & Shield.
